RustyRusty is the latest to join the permanent foster family. They are both quite advanced in age, and have ongoing medical needs so it was decided that they would stay with their foster mum for the rest of their lives.
What is a Permanent Foster?
When we get dogs in our care with either medical or other issues that require long term work, and moving them may be detrimental to their wellbeing, they become part of our permanent foster pack.
What this means is that they will live out their lives in our care, in a foster home, and we will look after their medical & behavioural needs and make decisions based around this.
These dogs are so lucky. They have an amazing home, and foster parents who love them like their own and get to live out their lives with love.
These dogs still cost us a bit of money so if you would like to help with this we would appreciate it. You can do so here.
Meet our Permanent Foster Pack
KnoxKnox is the most recent dog to join our permanent foster group. Unfortunatly due to some health issues he is unable to be adopted out, so instead he is living his best life with his amazing foster family!
MillyMilly came to us at the age of 15 with lifelong medical issues, so it was decided she would live out her life with love in her foster home.
BeatriceBeatrice came to us with serious medical issues, so rather than giving her lots of upheaval she is staying in our care to get the treatment and love she deserves
RipleyRipley came to us with some well hidden issues. In short, Ripley only has one good leg. To keep him pain free he is on daily meds, a monthly injection and specific food. As this is now his future, he has joined our Permanent Foster pack.
LuluLulu came to us from Auckland Council as despite her age and some medical issues it was clear she still had joy and love to give, so she joined our permanent foster pack in May 2024
