Khaleesi's Journey
$1.00

Donations are desperately needed for our newest dog.
This lovely girl has only just been relinquished into our care and we have taken over the vet care. She is in respiratory distress but is expected to make a full recovery, we couldn't let this girl lose her life without fighting for her.
20/2/25 update
After a night at ARC doing well she had a bit of a setback this morning as she lost all feeling in her back legs. After some tests this was diagnosed as a spinal issue, most likely a slipped disc.
It was agreed we would have her on strict crate rest for a while to see how she goes, as she was showing signs of improvement tonight.
2/3/25 update
Khaleesi had her first vet check-up since last week, and they were pleased with the progress she’s making with her back and legs. The plan remains the same—continued crate rest. We have been using a sling to support her back during toilet breaks. Her next check up is due this week coming.
Her left leg isn’t as mobile as her right, but she’s improving well. If it were up to her, though, she’d be out chasing other dogs around the lawn!
When she needs a little break from the crate, she absolutely loves a chin scratch, a face rub, and being held. She’s getting to know and love us more each day, greeting us with excited, snuffly pig-like noises when we come to see her. She adores her fan, enjoys treats (though we’re limiting them since she’s not getting much exercise), and is simply the sweetest, most lovable girl.
